The 2025 SES has been upgraded to v1.1. and is now published online Series Resources.
All of these issues are minor enough that reviewers can repair any v1.0 files after submission.
Items revised:
- Tube frame mm teams: Ride height is no longer rejecting.
- EV teams: If segments are not mechanically attached, lid comparison to baseline weld repaired.
2a. If it passes Q160-168, it will pass in H131-135 in v1.1.
- Welded, Threaded Inserts, Through Bolted options provided for tube frame harness attachment.
- Several other incorrectly BLANK or REJECT formulas were fixed in the monocoque file.
Monocoque teams:
We are prepared to consider blind attachments for the AIP and Rear Bulkhead.
If your team tests representative worst-case composite and insert samples to 15kN tearout and 15kN pullout.
(Assuming 8 x 15kN attachments. Higher test load obviously applies to the rear bulkhead options for 6 x 20kN and 4 x 30kN.)
We would also like to see an approach that uses studs, rather than cap bolts.
This way the blind threads are ideally only installed once.
Ideally, there is also positive locking on the studs per T.8.3.2 that is not deformable threads or nylon locking alone.
