Pre-Charge Circuit Requirements for multiple accumulator containers

Question
In a configuration with more than one accumulator container, where there are more than just 2 AIRs, is it necessary to have a pre-charge circuit for each intermediate segment, or will just one pre-charge circuit that charges the controller and power electronics be enough?
Answer
That depends whether the accumulator containers are in series or parallel. If they are all(!) in series then you only need on pre-charge circuit of course. If you put them in parallel, you need to either make sure that only one accumulator container pre-charges the intermediate circuit while all other AIRs of the remaining containers are open or you need to provide an extra pre-charge circuit per container.
