A new revision of the FSAE IC Electronic Throttle Control Review Document - v1.2, has now been posted online under Series Resources.
Submission Requirements:
- Teams submitting after December 5th must use the updated FSAE IC Electronic Throttle Control Review Document - v1.2 document for their required submission.
- Teams who have already submitted, or who will submit on or before December 5th, may continue using their current working copy. Reviewers will manually manage any differences resulting from the revision update.
Technical Update:
In the previous version, FSAE IC Electronic Throttle Control Review Document – v1.1, the On-site Competition Inspection worksheet contained the following instruction in cell C20:
“Activate the fuel pump, open the throttle, then unplug the power input from the Brake System Plausibility Device. Throttle must close and fuel pump must be disabled due to failed BSPD. This fault must latch. Only resettable by Primary Master Switch (IC.4.8.3 / IC.4.8.4 / IC.4.8.5)”
This has been updated in FSAE IC Electronic Throttle Control Review Document - v1.2 to correctly reflect the 2026 Formula SAE Rulebook (FSAE_Rules_2026_V1):
“Activate the fuel pump, open the throttle, then unplug the power input from the Brake System Plausibility Device. Throttle must close and fuel pump must be disabled due to failed BSPD. Removal of power from the BSPD Circuit must open the Shutdown Circuit IC.9.2.2. The Shutdown Circuit may close when power to the BSPD circuit returns (IC.4.8.6 does not apply).”
Teams may disregard the previous notice requiring the condition to latch, as the 2026 rules no longer require this behavior. All other conditions for the remaining on-site checks remain unchanged and should continue to be followed as written in the current ruleset.
