Formula SAE announces changes to how the Business Presentation will operate for both Michigan competitions in 2022 in a hybrid format. While the competition organizers intended to conduct the Presentation Event completely onsite, logistics related to onsite personnel gathering indoors lead to a change in operations after review of the facilities and growing concerns with COVID.

All student teams will compete in a virtual environment for Round 1 Judging using SAE's virtual platform that teams will be given more information on in the coming months. Based on competition scores, event captains will select a group of the top teams to participate in a live presentation finals hosted onsite at both Michigan competitions. The Formula SAE rules have been revised to include this change. These rules can now be found on www.fsaeonline.com under Series Resources.

Teams will be supplied with a static schedule at least one month prior to the virtual presentation dates. Teams will be assigned a date to present based on their registered competition. Presentation Finalists will be announced within a few days of each assigned date. Teams then will present onsite at competition as part of the finals.

This year's concept will be release no later than February 3rd for all teams.

The SAE.org website will be updated with addition of the virtual presentation event dates which will be as follows:

• May competition - April 28, 2022
• June competition - May 6, 2022

The event will operate between hours of 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM Eastern Time.
