In an effort to assist teams in managing their engineering workload and testing resource demand, a Standard Honeycomb Impact Attenuator (IA) has been established for the 2022 FSAE season. The Standard Honeycomb Impact Attenuator drawing is now available for download here.

This option is available in addition to the existing Standard Foam Impact Attenuator Design, which has remained unchanged. Teams are urged to review the updated Rules Section F.8 (Front Chassis Protection) as well as the 2022 SES, to assess the impact this may have on their Design, Documentation, Test, Fabrication and Build processes.
