Can pedals mount to the FB front bulkhead?
Answer
(2025-2026) We expect teams to work toward 25mm of FBHS tubing before the start of the pedal mount structure.

The intent is to allow 25mm of deflection in any front impact structure before creating a load path to the driver.
A 25mm air gap is required from the pedal assembly, including mounts, to the front bulkhead and AIP.

This is with the pedals at full travel.
Maximum braking is a reasonable assumption in a front impact.

Pedal mounts on the Front Bulkhead would start to move the driver's feet in the first mm of Front Bulkhead deflection.
